The spate of terror incidents after Ganesh Chathurthi on 5th September 2016, are as follows:
1. 10.09.2016 – Petrol bombs were hurled at the residence of Hindu Munnani district president Mr.Mahesh at Vellore.
2. 10.09.2016 – Petrol bombs were hurled at the transport office of Hindu Munnani functionary Mr.Srinivasan at Vellore, in which one bus was totally burnt.
3. 11.09.2016 – Petrol bomb was hurled at the Hosiery Company owned by Mr.Shanmugam, Treasurer of Hindu Munnani at Tiruppur, in which equipments worth Rs.15 lacs were lost.
4. 14.09.2016 – A Hindu girl by name Dhanya became a victim of love jihad. While she was already engaged for marriage with a Hindu man, she was brutally murdered by a jihadi by name  Shakir, as she declined his proposal.
5. 19.09.2016 – Soori, District Secretary of Tamil Nadu Vishva Hindu Parishad was brutally murdered.
6. 19.09.2016 – A murderous attack was perpetrated on Sankar Ganesh, District functionary of Hindu Munnani, Dindukkal and fortunately he survived and is recuperating in the hospital in Madurai.
7. 22.09.2016 – Sasikumar, District Media Coordinator of Hindu Munnani, was brutally murdered near his house in Coimbatore.
